Advanced Open Water Diver
Take it to the next level! It’s time to come to Dahab and get your Advanced Open Water Diver certification!
Advanced Open Water Diver in Dahab
The PADI Advanced Open water course (AOW) is normally done over two days or three days. During the AOW course you will complete five ‘Adventure Dives’ at some of Dahab’s very best dive sites.
Unlike the open water course, the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course involves very little theory. You just have to read a chapter on each dive, fill out a knowledge review and then it’s off to do the dive!
There are two ‘core’ dives on the course which are the Underwater Navigator and Deep Dive. Navigation is completed in our local bay, while we normally head out to Dahab’s famous Canyon site for the deep dive.
The other three dives are chosen from the PADI ‘Adventures in Diving’ manual, but the most popular ones are, Underwater Naturalist, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Drift Diving and Night Diving. Other great options are, Digital Underwater Photography (DUP) Dive Against Debris, Eanx ‘Nitrox’ Diving and the new Rescue Adventure dive!
We like to plan the dives so you can visit some of Dahab’s most famous dive sites while doing the course. You see the best sites and get certified to 30 meters at the same time! It’s the perfect course to do in Dahab!
Single Adventure Dives & PADI Adventure Diver
If you don’t have time to complete the full course you can just complete individual ‘Adventure dives’ which can be credited towards finishing the complete course at a later date with no time limit. Completing 3 adventure dives means you can achieve a PADI Adventure Diver certification (but we really can’t see the point!)
